A General Interfacial-Energetics-Tuning Strategy

We developed a general energetic tuning strategy for enhancing the charge-separation process by tuning the interfacial energetics in photocatalysts. Using BiVO4 as a showcase, our method greatly improved its H2O2 photosynthesis, showing a solar-conversion efficiency of 0.73%, a new record for inorganic photocatalysts. This is a collaborative study between Chuo University and Zhejiang University (for material design), Okayama University (for transient absorption spectroscopy analysis) and Yale University (for operation simulation).
